He develops family-governance frameworks, decision-making models, and multigenerational succession pathways, while designing operating models for families building, modernizing, or transitioning single-family offices. He also delivers specialty consulting and technical oversight for existing single-family offices requiring additional expertise or strategic guidance.

Throughout his career, John has founded a national strategic family wealth consulting group, a regional multi-family office, and a combined multi-family office and outsourced single-family office platform. With more than 25 years of experience solely focused on extremely affluent families and complex wealth structures (minimum net worth $100 million), he has deep expertise in designing and implementing innovative wealth-structuring solutions that integrate multiple tax disciplines—leveraging estate, gift, partnership, entity, and charitable planning to optimize outcomes.

Prior to joining Callan Family Office, John served as Co-Founder and Director of Family Wealth Strategy at Clarity Family Office. He received his J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law.
