Washington Watch: SECURE 2.0 Approved
After months of negotiation between the House and Senate leaders, the SECURE 2.0 Act was signed into law by President Biden on December 29, 2022. The bill is intended as an upgrade to the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act of 2019.
While SECURE 2.0 includes a great deal of changes, we want to highlight some notable provisions from a financial perspective.
