On October 1, 2025, for the third year in a row, Callan Family Office was named on the 2025 Forbes/SHOOK List of America’s Top RIA Firms.
The Top RIA Firm ranking was developed by SHOOK Research and is based on in-person and telephone due diligence meetings and a ranking algorithm that includes: client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations; and quantitative criteria, including: assets under management and profitability. On September 10, 2025, our Tax Overlay Program has won the Best Client Initiative in the Family Office category for the WealthManagement.com 2025 Industry Awards.
The award focused on the launch of Callan Family Office’s Tax Overlay program, which empowers the firm’s investment partners to make personalized, tax-aware trading decisions in client portfolios.
The “Wealthies” highlight current initiatives across a broad range of individuals, companies and organizations whose work helps financial advisors build better practices and improves the quality of services for their clients. On July 11, 2025, Callan Family Office was recognized on Financial Advisor Magazine’s 2024 list of the Top 50 Fastest Growing RIAs.
FA’s RIA Ranking is an independent listing produced by Financial Advisor magazine. Firms must be registered investment advisors and provide financial planning and/or related services to individual clients. All firms must be either independently owned or a freestanding subsidiary of another business. Neither the RIA firms nor their employees pay a fee to FA Magazine to be included in the listing. Data is provided by each firm, mostly from numbers and information published on forms they submit to the SEC. Each firm is then ranked alongside their participating peers. Family Wealth Report Awards
On May 8, 2025, Callan Family Office was recognized as a winner in the Multi-Family Office (Client Initiative) category for its Tax Overlay program.
The Family Wealth Report Awards program was launched in 2014 for the family office and family wealth management industry and its providers in North America. The categories are focused around three main areas: experts (individuals and teams), products and services for wealth managers/institutions of all sizes and types. Eligible entrants have business operations in North America. The judging panel is composed of 33 independent industry experts from family offices, private banks, trusted advisors, consultants and other services providers and selects winners, finalists and commended firms and individuals on the basis of qualitative subjective criteria with quantitative metrics to support, supplied to the organizers in standardized submission forms. On June 24, 2024, Callan Family Office was selected as an Excellence Awardee in the RIA Team of the Year (10 Advisors or More) category in the inaugural 2024 InvestmentNews Awards.
The InvestmentNews Awards team conducts research and draws on knowledge and information gained through InvestmentNews to support and supplement nominations received and to ensure that no one deserving of recognition is missed. Excellence awardees are determined from both pools of information.
All submissions are forwarded to the independent judging panel comprising industry leaders and senior representatives. The panel assesses and votes for their winners in each category according to the relevant category criteria. Using a simple points system to aggregate judges’ votes, the excellence awardee with the top score in a category will be named the winner.
