Before joining Callan, Jeff guided owners, investors and executives years
ahead of an exit, orchestrating innovative pre‑transaction planning that
consistently delivered premium valuations. His work encompasses transactional
tax counsel, asset‑protection design and post‑sale wealth‑preservation
strategies.
A Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, Jeff speaks
regularly on complex tax and asset protection topics. He is the
bestselling author of The Descent Is the Real Climb: The
Unexpected Truths About Successful Business Transitions, co‑author
of Foreign and Domestic Asset Protection Strategies,
and has written more than a dozen articles for leading professional journals.
He has also served Duquesne University as both Executive‑in‑Residence and
member of the Tax Advisory Board for its M.S. in Taxation program.
Jeff holds a B.A. in Political Science from the College of Charleston, a
J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and an M.S. in Taxation
from Duquesne University. His professional credentials include Certified
Financial Planner®, Accredited Estate Planner®, Certified Merger &
Acquisition Advisor and Associate in Captive Insurance.
