With a 30-year background in advising ultra-high-net-worth families, Joe Rorke works with clients to create and manage their portfolios, identify long-term goals, and plan for multi-generational wealth transfers. Joe’s longevity as a financial advisor provides him with unique market insights, which enhance his ability to guide clients through complex financial decisions.
Beyond working directly with clients, Joe serves on Callan Family Office’s Investment Risk Committee and is a member of the Asset Allocation Committee, responsible for providing strategic and tactical guidance to clients.
Before joining Callan Family Office, he spent 22 years with Wells Fargo, the first dozen as a Senior Asset Manager, and the last 10 as Director of Asset Management and Regional Chief Investment Officer with Abbot Downing, the Wells Fargo business unit serving ultra-high-net-worth families, family offices, foundations, and institutions.
A firm believer in the importance of learning throughout one’s lifetime, one of Joe’s most recent accomplishments was earning his pilot’s license. He notes that being a pilot and a financial advisor share many similarities, particularly in terms of the importance of preparation and planning up front in order to better navigate any unforeseen circumstances.
Joe is accredited as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute and holds a degree in finance from Iowa State University. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Hazeltine National Golf Club and serves as its head of finance.
