At Callan Family Office, Tom Raymond will draw on over 20 years of investment experience in the wealth management industry. A voracious reader, writer, and creative mind, he aims to deliver relevant insights on the financial markets to his clients, with a goal of bringing them clarity, understanding, and peace of mind. Knowing that each client’s personal objectives vary, Tom strives to customize client portfolio blueprints to achieve these goals. Tom is an active member of the investment strategy team at Callan Family Office, with a focus on asset allocation decisions. As such, his clients have a direct line of contact into Callan Family Office’s views on the latest market developments.
Tom joins Callan Family Office from Abbot Downing, Wells Fargo’s ultra-high-net-worth practice, where he spent more than 15 years. During his time there, he was a voting member of the group’s asset allocation strategy committee and helped develop an investment strategy that contemplated time horizons measured in decades, unique tax considerations, complex balance sheets, and a willingness to embrace opportunities in the private markets.
Prior to Abbot Downing, Tom spent five years at Wilmington Trust’s wealth advisory group as an investment officer and the main architect for his client portfolios.
Tom received his undergraduate degree from the University Park campus of Penn State. He graduated with honors from Drexel University’s MBA program and has a master’s in taxation from Villanova University. Active in the community, Tom is a board member of the St. Anastasia School Endowment in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania and is also on the board for the Penn State College of Business Alumni Society. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor of finance at Cabrini University in Radnor, PA and published the book, “The Eloquent Investor,” in 2014.
